Tour Logistics
Where does the tour start and end?
All tours start and finish at the Forks Historic Port, located at the Forks Market, in downtown Winnipeg.
Is there parking available near the departure point?
The Forks offer ample parking for their patrons. Keep in mind you may required to pay for parking.
How long does the tour last?
Approximately 40 mins.
Is there assigned seating on the boat?
No, seating is first come first served, but we have enough room for groups to sit together.
Do I need to make a reservation in advance?
Yes. Certain times of day are very popular. It is advisable to book before you arrive, however we may have seats available in person as well!
Can I book a private tour for a special occasion or event?
Yes. You can reserve an entire vessel for a private tour up to 12 people. Unless otherwise arranged the tour will follow the standard tour information.
Accessibility and Amenities
Are there restrooms available on the boat?
No. However there are many public washrooms nearby.
Is the boat equipped with safety features and life jackets?
Yes. Operators perform a safety talk before each tour.
Accessibility
Boats will be accessible for folks with wheelchairs, mobility aids, and strollers. Please be aware that while the dock is reachable on foot, there are inclined paths to navigate.
Passenger Guidelines
Are there any age restrictions for passengers?
No. All ages are welcome. Young children may need to sit on the lap of their parent or guardian. Senior guests enjoy a discounted rate as well.
Can I bring a camera or binoculars?
Absolutely! There are several great spots to snap a photo. We encourage you to bring a camera or phone to capture the moment.
Are pets allowed on board?
Yes. Our vessels have room to accommodate our furry friends. All pets must be under the control of their owner at all times.
Is smoking allowed on the boat?
No smoking or e-cigarettes are permitted for the comfort of all guests.
What happens in case of bad weather or inclement conditions?
We will operate in mild weather events. Boats are covered, but be sure to bring appropriate clothing for the conditions. Serious events like lighting or heavy rain will delay or cancel the tour.
Can I bring children on the tour?
Yes! Children have a discounted rate.
